Ceviz is an offline-first mobile app that helps parents soothe their babies. There is no account to create. By using the app you agree to these Terms: use it lawfully, do not abuse it, and do not operate it outside its intended purpose.
1. Who We Are
"Ceviz," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the operator of the Ceviz Service. For support, legal questions, or notices related to these Terms, contact getceviz@gmail.com.
2. Eligibility
Ceviz is designed for parents to use. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service, or the minimum age required by the laws of your jurisdiction if that age is higher. By using Ceviz, you represent that you meet the applicable age requirement and have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms.
3. The Service
Ceviz is a mobile app that plays lullabies, nature sounds, white noise, and similar calming audio offline. The app does not require an account; all preferences and recordings stay on your device. The Service is not a medical device or a source of medical advice. For health-related questions concerning your baby, please consult a qualified healthcare professional.
4. Acceptable Use
You may not use the Service to:
- violate any law or regulation;
- reverse engineer the app, attempt to extract its source code, or modify it without authorization;
- manipulate, bypass, or abuse advertising mechanics through automation or other circumvention;
- extract bundled audio content for redistribution in violation of its license;
- circumvent security features, regional restrictions, or store-level age limits.
5. User Recordings
The in-app recording feature operates entirely on your device. Recordings are not uploaded to any server and are not accessible to us. You are solely responsible for the content you record, including any copyright or legal implications. Do not record another person without their consent.
6. Advertising
To stay free, the Service displays native ads in the Sounds list via Google AdMob. Ceviz is not responsible for the content of third-party ads, linked third-party destinations, or offers delivered through AdMob. Ads are subject to the policies of the relevant ad networks.
7. Intellectual Property
The Ceviz name, logo, brand elements, design choices, software, source code, text, and graphics are owned by or licensed to Ceviz and are protected under applicable intellectual property laws. Except as expressly permitted by these Terms, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from the Service.
7.1 Bundled Audio Content
Audio shipped with the app is sourced from the public domain, CC0 / licensed archives, or suppliers granting commercial-use rights. Where licenses require attribution, credits appear in an in-app "Audio sources" surface or in resources linked from this page. You may not extract these sounds from the app and redistribute them independently.
8. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review it as well.
9. Third-Party Services
The Service depends on third-party services such as the app stores (Apple App Store, Google Play), ad infrastructure (Google AdMob), and device operating systems. Ceviz is not responsible for policy changes, outages, or behavior of these services that fall outside our reasonable control.
10. Changes to the Service or Terms
We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time. For material changes we will try to surface a notice in-app and update the "Last Updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after updated Terms become effective means you accept the new version.
11. Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the app. We may suspend or terminate access if we believe the app is being abused, presents a legal risk, or where required for security or compliance reasons.
12. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, that the Service will be error-free, or that it will behave identically across every device or version combination. Ceviz does not provide professional advice on infant care or medical matters.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ceviz and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, goodwill, data, content, or business opportunities. Where liability cannot be excluded entirely, it will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
14. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Ceviz harmless from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
15. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Unless applicable law requires otherwise, disputes relating to these Terms or the Service will be subject to the courts of Istanbul, Turkey.
